January 9, 2018 – I Feel Accomplished!

First of all, Jacob turned 17 today! What even!? How!? He’s supposed to be a baby forever! We all are!

I started the day riding Blue at Leslie’s! It was awesome! We trotted and cantered most of the time! I’m rarely, if ever, happier than I am when riding a horse! I’m so glad God allowed me to find a way to make this dream come true!

I think I’m going to look into becoming a driver for horse carriages downtown! I can’t imagine a better job while I’m waiting to become a published author!

After I went horseback riding, I went for a bike ride at the park! I rode a mile! Then, I went furniture shopping with Savannah because the blow-up couch popped… We got a turtle chair! Apparently, it’s actually called a saucer chair, but it will always be a turtle chair to me! Just like the detachable one we had at the house at Santa Fe Ridge! I pushed the tables up against the back wall and placed the chairs in front of them with the rocking chair to the right of Savannah’s bedroom. The living room feels so much bigger now! When Savannah came home from work, the following conversation happened! haha

Me: “I like that our kitchen has little reminders that we’re not adults, even though we are.”

Savannah: “We’re adults in training. I’m in the part where you take the tutorial. You’re in the part right after the tutorial running around trying to figure out what the tutorial meant.”

After shopping with Savannah, I picked Naomi up from school and took her to the park to play basketball. We were there for about an hour! First we played two rounds of around the world and then we played one on one! If she hadn’t fouled me twice, then she probably would have beaten me!

After that, I picked Lydia up from school and rushed home to shower before Bible study. To piggyback off of the sermon Sunday, we discussed happiness and how God never said He only wants us to be happy. I’m so glad Sarah and Travis started this small group! ❤ I needed a small group outlet for my spiritual walk! Sarah and I have incredibly similar stories, so it’s nice to have someone experienced to help guide me in the right direction.

Overall, it’s been a nice and productive day, but I feel like crap! These stupid allergies need to go away already!
